I offered them 2,000 down and $350 a month.
They came back with that .
I didn’t ask them for it.
I’m no assuming it’s their way of saying no.

This is not realistic. Use a broker or adjust your expectations
Thanks for letting me know. As you know ; I’m brand new to this. I know nothing except some of the links the other guys posted for me to read .
I will pick it up soon. But I’m going to be the subject of some jokes in the meantime.
I don’t think I’m gonna use a broker for 2 reasons
It’s more fun to win by myself.
I don’t need/want a car . I have three cars that I own and I’m very happy with them.
I’m only going to lease a car if it’s absolute humiliation for the dealer. I get excited every time I read a post of some dealer getting dominated; and this is my greatest advantage: leverage. I don’t need them or their product at all.
But if you could educate me about why my offer is so bad I can benefit from your guidance.
I’m seeing a vehicle price of $80,989 and a residual value after 24 months of $76,486
That’s $4,503 difference
I’m offering 350*23=8,050+$2000=$10,050.00.
My initial offer was more than double the $4503 .
Aren’t I being to generous to them?
Help guide me to where my error is
Did you read any of the resources given to you or just hoping to get this across the finish line based on what “feels” right?
This sounds completely insane. Why don’t you commit the ultimate humiliation and just steal the car? That’ll teach them!
I read the links he sent me. Obviously; I need to read it more and do more research and benefit from the advice/criticism that I can get from people like yourself.
So please treat me like a baby who doesn’t know any better, because I’m going to need my hand held.
Sometimes you sound like you resent my ignorance on the subject.
I want to benefit from your advice/guidance. But if you are just telling me that I’m a clueless rookie. I already know that I am ![]()

Finally someone who speaks my language!!!
Yeah, you show them!
Now I just feel stupid for taking a troll post seriously ![]()
Don’t feel stupid .
I’m not trolling you or anyone.
I’m just brand new and have nowhere near the knowledge and experience of you .
But I want to benefit.
And I’m not offended at all
You missed out on the programs that ended in September. Any deals you see here posted prior to that are not going to happen now unless GM makes the lease better in future months. The offer you have on the table is pretty in line with what is available. Is there more room, yes- but no were near what you want. The intrest on the lease will be more than the payment you want.
Post a LH calculator that gets you to your target deal using actual programs and incentives (they explain how to obtain these) from GM. If you can’t do that, reread the resources provided until you can.
Yes, I still have a lot of research to do before I am fluent. Thank you always .
The bank sets the residual and the interest. Your variables on the 2x suv are 66% residual and a little over 5% interest on a 36 month 10k lease assuming you can do a 1-pay structure. On a $80,90,100k truck you are not overcoming those numbers to get to that offer you can stack every rebate on earth, work for GM and lobby congress to reinstate the $7500 EV credit. No one who got great deals on these cars ‘punished’ or ‘humiliated’ a dealer and they certainly weren’t spoon fed the cars out of desperation to move them.
You absolutely need to master the calculator. Post your best attempt for people to give feedback. You keep saying you have a lot of work and research to do, you need to actually do it. Best way to learn is the calc.
Thank you.
I got a lot of research I need to do.
I thank all of you for the advice/criticism, I have a much better understanding on what I need to know to be serious about this ,
