It’s sad, I see people in the Facebook groups all the time asking about lease deals and I have to be the bearer of the bad news that they missed the boat. Overall I’ve been very happy with the car despite a few issues. Haven’t really had anything major come up, never been flatbedded and it hasn’t bricked in a shockingly long time. Had an airbag error come up that required service and I asked them to install the most recent software update RSU. They refused and told me I would have to pay for it “since I didn’t have any codes” which was total BS, besides an RSU doesn’t require active codes or anything like that, they just didn’t want to do it. Dealership service is definitely hit or miss on this car.
Not yet… mine has been in the shop for a month now, it’s supposedly ready to pick up tomorrow. This time it was for the usual gremlins plus a piece of roof trim that just decided to fly off while I was driving. I’m probably close to 2 months out of 12 in service. I love the stupid car but I’ve definitely been in talks with Stellantis about my dissatisfaction regarding overall quality and reliability. I’ve named her Valerie after the Mark Ronson/Amy Winehouse song, and for good reason.
So they fixed the roof, allegedly performed a software update but didn’t do a whole lot else besides say “we can’t replicate the issue” for every other issue I mentioned. Considering that over the course of the past month the car moved around 5 times and never exceeded 15 MPH I’m not surprised that they weren’t able to replicate anything . I’m still worried about running it through a car wash again and getting the hood to pop and make the car go into turtle mode.
Our Wagoneer S has been a giant POS. For example, someone at the factory seemingly didn’t install a snap ring on the front right axle and it almost came out and caused us to lose control. I was surprised when the dealer told us that. We’ve had a number of other issues too. Even in perfect order, it still drives like a wet rag. Not worth the low payment.
