2025 Cadillac Optiq Deal Check

Local dealer had a loaner 2025 Cadillac Optiq Luxury 1 with 500 miles on it.
Got it for one pay lease
24/10000
$5800 all in (tax, fees, tag…)
Good deal?

Seems like a great deal to me.

I’ve been seeing marketplace offers around $350/month with ~$2500 upfront. This is $241/month effective. Seems great!

Where are you located / think this deal is replicable? Assume not due to loaner

It could be.
I’m in central FL.. The MSRP was marked down to roughly $47,000
I threw in
Costco Executive
GM Supplier
GM loyalty (got an Equinox EV not too long ago)
They also got to $5,800 after I showed them a screenshot of what I got through cadillac.com build your own, with inventory nearby and selecting that specific VIN… Went through the whole thing selected one pay lease and it was roughly that amount. Knowing the cadillac.com (or any GM branded websites) can be quite off it did seem to good to be true but here we are…

Solid deal. You can even save $500 more by opening up the GM credit card

Are you able to create a LH calculator with your numbers? Thanks.

Well, I have an update on the deal. Confirmed it twice before driving over 2 hours for pick up.. Got there and after signing initial paperwork they took 20 minutes to come back and said that GM Financial screwed up with online calculation (supposedly when one pay lease is selected it eliminated tax etc.) I think they just didn’t want to honor it and/or wanted to get more. They claimed one pay lease would be at least 10k. So going back and forth and finally got the deal for $7800 ($325 per month) all in.
Not as crazy as $5800 but still better than any advertised deal.
I was there for 3 hours so it sounds like it wouldn’t be easily duplicated.

I’ll see if I can do a calc for this.

Did you have a written quote in hand? Personally I would have walked out of principal

Yeah I had all texts but I also drove 2 hours to get the car after confirming the deal multiple times.
Cost benefit analysis told me to suck it up and go with $7800 since it was a still pretty great deal…

I would’ve walked, but then I get it. You drove all the way there and something is better than leaving empty handed.
I would just leave a mediocre review.
$5,800 would’ve been a killer deal. $7,800 seems pretty good, too.

I left a 4-star review on a Lexus purchase once due to finance guy treating me like trash. GM called me and apologized and told me that swing by anytime for a car detailing (maybe $100?)

Maybe they deserve it but just know even one not perfect review seriously impacts their comp. Moral of the story is always assume it’s BS until you sign. Personally I rather sign remotely before traveling any meaningful distance.

I am sorry to hear that they didn’t honor the deal but glad you were still able to walk out with a pretty good deal. What were the final numbers? Looking for a breakdown between the discount from MSRP and the rebates you were able to take advantage of. I am eyeing a loaner car too and hoping to get one this month.

The final number was $7800 for one pay lease all in.
I didn’t get a real good breakdown on how they did it honestly. They supposedly took a hit on the deal. It’s only showing $4250 rebates (I had Costco Exec, GM Supplier, GM Loyalty) although I think it should’ve been more.
Primarily I was looking at courtesy vehicles that were already marked down on cadillac.com. Specifically the ones that showed MSRP marked down to $47,000ish.
Hope that helps.

Thank you. I am trying to get a sense for what % of discount should I be targeting for before rebates/incentives. Including the GM card signup and Loaner lease cash of $2k, I should be eligible for $6,750 in total rebates for a loaner car. My goal is to negotiate a separate $7,000-$8,000 discount off the MSRP.

Looks like a much better deal than we were negotiating on for an Optiq Luxury 2.

So, this would be $325/mo. Sure beats the $972/mo for 3 years we were looking at for my parents, but with a large amount of negative equity ($10.6k).

I kept asking the dealer about a Costco discount (we are executive members), but I never got a response.

So they definitely used the $7500 to inflate the residual value… Plus I thought the rebates would be higher (Costco Exec, GM Loyalty, GM Supplier)… However, what matters is the amount to be paid in cash. $7799.98
$325 for a ‘loaner’ that was really only delivered to the dealer back in March and had 600 miles when I got it.

Thanks so much for sharing. Using your deal as the baseline, looks like there is potential for squeezing another 2k. This is what I will be targeting for this month.

The dealer sneaked in a $999 ‘pre-delivery service charge’ and also depending on what you are eligible for you can get up to $6,750 in rebates.

  • 1,250 - Costco Executive
  • 1,000 - Loyalty or 2,000 for Conquest Lease
  • 1,000 - GM Supplier
  • 2,000 - Loaner lease cash
  • 500 - GM Card sign up and spend

Yeah, the $999 fee is pretty standard from what I’ve seen. This dealer actually had $4,995 dealer convenience package (window tint, all weather mats, some other stuff that’s usually worth 1k maybe) they put as soon as they get the vehicle so it’s ‘non negotiable’ but it’s not really reflected in the calculation in my case.
I hope it works out, let me know!

If I may ask, where are you finding the Loaner Lease Cash rebate?

Its on Cadillac’s website and also in LH’s RateFinder available rebates.

Thanks. I couldn’t find it on Cadillac’s site when I looked. I’ll check again.
