Because ballers like Ben Affleck drive the Sport 2 (he’d never drive a Lux 2 since all his cars are Batman Black), so GM thinks there don’t need to be discounts on those and eventually some rich person is going to throw down on it.
Wasn’t he also seen driving an EQS?
I gotchu.
I want one of these bad - but need to see them get down under $20K one pay (hoping against hope).
I guess EQS ended up to be
I have been unsuccessful in replicating a $25k one-pay, let alone a $20k.
I nominate @schyulerw for next trusted hackr.
@whimike let’s be honest. We can’t even get to a 30k one pay.
And next month these will keep sitting.
Cadillac has a problem on their hands.
Visor shows 4,000 of these on lots in the US (2025 and 2026 models). Over 46% of the 2025 models have been on the lot between 200 and 300 days.
There simply are no/few buyers at the current pricing. When an ICE Escalade can be had for $100k’ish, charging $130k - $150k for an EV version doesn’t seem to make sense. The leases start to make sense when the discounts bring the price down to $110k pre-incentive, i.e., where the ICE prices are at.
My Ford lightening is at 1.9 lifetime. Damn that caddy is a Hog lol
Also, I was told by a dealer that GM supplier on an IQ lease is $2k off, vs. Escalade ICE $10k off…
Final Edition?
In beautiful red; truly an amazing sports car.
Quite underrated.
I got both a final and regular 2026 manual. Sold them both last week. They are a fun car!
I reached out to a couple Cadillac dealers today to get numbers on a IQ lease. They all were smoking. $2-2500 a month. I’d like to get one for my wife. Id buy one today!
Hi @schyulerw would you post the money factor and residual you got for this deal. I’m trying to figure it out and am having a hard time backing into it. At MSRP of $134,604, selling price of $110,227, assuming a 62% residual value for 24 months / 10K, even if I zero out the money factor, the post tax (6%) payment per month comes to $1239/month, which equates to a total of $28,502. I think I might be making a mistake.
Why are you trying to check the math on a deal from August? You do realize that the rebates, RV, and MF are changing every month, right? GM was lifting up the RV using the $7.5k federal tax credit and that has changed on 10/1 with the tax credit being gone.
Programs have changed a lot this month but on net they are about the same (ie still not great). Save your sanity and sign up for rate finder.
Yes, good point - would love to know the latest money factor and residual for a 12K/24 and 12K/36 for a IQ Sport 1 or Luxury 1. But I would also like to know how this deal was arrived in August because it would affect how I try to negotiate now.
BTW, GM still has the ability to apply the 7500 credit - they did some clever financial engineering - see GM and Ford are Trying a Clever Tactic to Preserve the $7,500 EV Tax Credit Discount
Paji,
- if you become a supporter of the website, you will get all the information you requested. It pays for itself. Otherwise you will need to go on edmund forum to find the information that you are looking for.
- The deal in august has no connection to how you will set up a deal now. I would recommend looking at any recently signed deals (from this month) to help guage your deal and even better, looking at what brokers are posting for as a guide to what you should aim for in your deal.
