Hi everyone,
I’m helping a friend lease a 2025 Buick Envision Sport Touring and wanted to get some advice on how to structure the offer.
The dealer currently has the vehicle discounted about $5,750 off MSRP.
Vehicle details:
MSRP: $42,240
Trim: Sport Touring
Lease structure I’m targeting:
24 months
10k miles/year
Residual: 72%
MF: 0.00310833
My goal was to push the dealer discount to $8,250, which gets the payment around $350/mo with estimated fees and first payment DAS.
Originally I thought my friend had a $1,250 private lease offer, which would have dropped the payment to roughly $298/mo but they do not.
I noticed in the Leasehackr calculator that there is GM dealer flex cash ($500 per unit, up to 4).
My question is:
What’s the best way to approach the dealer about using flex cash to bridge that gap?
Should I:
-
Show my math and ask if they can apply flex cash to reach the ~$298 target payment, or
-
Simply ask for a larger dealer discount (around $9,500 off) and let them structure it however they want?
I want to be able to help them along without them immediately blowing me off. Curious what the vets here would do. Thanks!
