You only pay $500+tax of which the first $100+tax is non-refundable unless the seller insists to make the whole amount non-refundable to make sure that your credit is strong enough (usually needs to be tier 1 to be approved, about 720+). No other fees, OP just paid DMV for the first year and that stays with the car.
The process should take between a few days if the title is in house (usually it’s not) to a few weeks.
Here is possibly a perfect replacement for you right in your backyard. Same color combo e40 and incentive to offset yours. Save about $100/mo and longer range as you wanted. I can put you in touch with the seller if you do not have SAL account.
Updating the post with new miles and what BMWFS discussed with me about the Lease assumption processes.
The assumption fee need to be paid by the lease owner before the process can being
($100 credit application fee and $400 assumption fee)
Since the $100 is non refundable I would request that $100 payment be made before I begin the process.
The $400 free will be paid by me as part of the incentive to make it easier, that way we don’t have to send money back and forth.
Once the lease transfer is compete I’ll provide the remaining incentive to the new owner.
Leaserman, funny enough, I live in Sacramento, and while researching various EV options (just on Google), I came across your post.
Until a conversation with a neighbor today, I had narrowed my choices down to the Mach- E and Macan 4. But there’s something about a hatchback sedan that remains appealing to me.
Happy to talk. Feel free to DM directly (if that’s not what we’re doing already?).

→ I guess not. Apparently DMing isn’t something I can do as a new user to this forum?
