It’s not always quite that easy. You have to find the right dealer at the right time as @redux did (he explained why the dealer was extra motivated to make a deal). The dealer you’re working with would probably need similar motivation to make a comparable pre-tax/pre-incentive deal. Also, you’re in a different part of the country (supply and demand are still at play here), so the market on these vehicles may be different where you are, and your sales tax structure may be different as well. But you can use his pre-incentive/pre-tax discount as a starting point for approaching dealers for a similar deal.
