I vaguely remember leasing a loaner where the car was marked as used on the paperwork also. I think the captive bank recognizes that VIN qualifies for leasing, disregarding whether the car is listed as new or not
WOW! Unicorn deal for sure. Congratulations!
Do you know if they applied the 5250 before or after dropping the price 20% off? The dealer I talked to acted like the 5250 didnāt exist.
This is state dependent. MI considers all demos/loaners to be used cars, and they must be marked as used on the RD-108ās submitted to the state
How the captiveās classify them for rebate purposes is a separate consideration
They applied the $5,250 ex loaner rebate after dropping the price 20%. But in my opinion that makes this a true unicorn deal.
Amazing deal!
I believe 400 miles of effective range are ideal my use on road trips without having to stop midway.
Enjoy the ride!
I just heard from a dealer that the Loaner Rebate will go from $5,750 to $8,000 in a few days on aged loaners. Can anyone validate this or has heard similar?
If it does change it will be reflected in chevy lease calculator on their inventory checker. āAgedā loaners probably refers to 2024ās.
Costco is gone for GM EVs, so that eats into savings a bit.
How do you find these kind of deals?!? This, in my opinion, is a steal! Congrats!
Normally I recommend starting by researching the incentives, residual, and money factor of a car to structure a target deal. But in the case of this particular deal it was literally dropped right into my lap and all I had to do was say yes.
Do programs change mid month?
Yeah I have and when I present them to the dealer they are like surprised and basically dismiss me. Itās not big of a deal, just with some more dealers would play ball and try to move these vehicles that seems like really no one wants at the price they are trying to sell! My time will come thoug
Talk about right place at the right time⦠Congrats.
Went to a local dealer today to check a retired courtesy 3WT they have sitting there.
The 3WT doesnāt feel āextremely cheapā, but definitely doesnāt feel like a 75k car.
It has 3k miles and by the amount of pollen and dirt it has, looks like itās been sitting there for a long time.
I asked for 20% off MSRP but they offered about 11% off MSRP, which would bring monthly to about $600~650 (8k in rebates). If the courtesy incentive really increases to 8k and dealer increases their discount I may be able to get somewhat close to your deal.
I also checked a retired courtesy RST (what a beautiful car, btw). It has almost 5k miles on it and dealer would only discount about 6.5% on it. Although Iād love to have one over the 3WT if they manage to get the price down 20%, Iām really afraid on how much the tires alone would cost me after 25k miles.
Tire rack has 2 options in a LT 245/50R24 tire. $542 per tire and $577 per tire.
The WT tire LT 265/70R18 is $280 to $300 per tire
Thatās way better than I though it would beā¦
I was guessing around 1k each 24 at least.
So the dealer confirmed there are now $8,000 rebates? The price should be closer to $500/month on a similar loaner 3WT I am looking at locally, if only discounted 11%. Curious what the rate or residual difference is for loaners, my RV/MF numbers are from Edmunds on 2024 3WT at 24mon/10k
Yeah this pretty much aligns with my experience on the WTs - they donāt feel extremely cheap but also arenāt the best. But then again I feel like at the price tag this truck is at youāre pretty much just paying for that massive battery. Iām surprised that dealers arenāt trying harder to get these pushed out the door - so many just sitting around rotting on the lots regardless of loaner or new (especially those 24 RSTs). I guess WTs are ever so slightly harder to find.
This is one of the big reasons I would never seriously consider the RST - tires are just so freaking expensive. WT tire size is much more manageable.
The $8,000 ex loaner rebate has not been confirmed - just what one poster was speculating. The rate of Edmunds should be accurate for loaners but the residual is adjusted (nobody really knows how).
