2023 Q5e lease - what do you think

So what do you think. Connecticut tax rate

Q5e P+ with trade in

Also included $1349 Audi Care and $1989 tire/rim warranty which I may cancel

I am going to buy out the lease shortly

I think the Q5e is sold out everywhere, so it is what it is. MSRP minus $7500. Not sure if there is any Costco on the Q5e

At this price you’re better off with an iX, but I assume you are aware of those deals and just don’t want that car, otherwise you’d be looking at it, hah.

I would really have a hard time paying MSRP for a plug in hybrid Q5, X5 50e’s are hard to come by, but even still we discount them.

From a deal perspective there isn’t much to comment on, it’s an MSRP deal, as long as it’s what you want and it’s buy rate money factor, it is what it is, if this is the market on this car. I haven’t seen one in stock at any of my dealers in months.

Why would you buy this if you are immediately buying out the lease?

Just prefer the q5e. Understand it might defy all numbers logic

Ive had some bad luck with tires with my first Audi and so sensitive to this and so felt like buying the peace of mind. probably not the wisest and theres probably a high tire replacement breakeven point but with no spare tire on the Q5e I wanted a plan.

there is but not a costco member since my kids finished diapers. yes they seem in short supply.

Why don’t you just register one? it’s $5 for $500 or $1000

there was a July cutoff for eligibility

Have you ever been a Costco member? I remember someone posting here that if your membership expires and you renew it may show the original date. Otherwise, this deal is just awful. If you need an EV to drive in the HOV lane there seem to be better EV deals. If you don’t care for the HOV sticker, you are better off getting a regular Q5 which seems to lease really well this month.

Interesting - did not know that but its been almost 20 years since i had costco membership

Didn’t think not having a $1000 costco credit would make this deal just awful but I guess to each their own.

Yeah Costco is not going to change your Q5e deal. You are paying 10K down / 768 month for an electric Q5. That’s Porsche Cayenne money. Why do you need to pay this kind of money for a Q5e when you can get a regular Q5 in the 500s/mo with drive offs DAS?

As i mentioned I’m buying out the lease immediately so not absorbing the embedded finance costs. Want the PHEV and didn;t like the other options. If I wanted a ICE then yes lots of other options. My only other PHEV I wanted was the Panamera but less practical.

MSRP deal, neither ripping you off nor giving you much of a discount. It’s just that leasing a Q5e at this price doesn’t offer that much great value for money.
What’s your main focus? If you happen to like the Q5e, then there’s nothing to complaint. Just that at this price point, there are many better alternatives, either offering more or equally high quality for a lower price.

You are absorbing high finance costs one way or another. You are either paying cash and missing on earning 5%+ on that money or you will be paying high financing costs if you borrow. Last time I checked, the regular Q5 had a decent MF, Audi money, Costco, plus good discount. If you want an EV the Q8 e-tron looks like a good deal this month.

I’m not sure if they want an EV tho, it looks like they want a hybrid.

Then just lease a regular Q5 and save $500/month.

Correct - want a hybrid - i like the SQ8 Etron but not ready to go full EV

If the goal is to just get lowest lease rate there are other options. Not interested in the Q5.
