2023 Mazda CX-9 or CX-5? Which one is better deal?

,

Hello,

I am from NY and received the below numbers. I am new to leasing so asking for you help me to choose or advise if there is any room for negotiation. Appreciate your help!

2023 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring, AWD

2023 Mazda CX-5 2.5 S Turbo, AWD

A bunch of strangers on the internet shouldn’t help you to choose since we have no idea what your priorities.

In terms of the deal, the amount off of MSRP in both cases seems very similar to the max amount off MSRP seen from broker(s) here. I would confirm on Edmunds that you are getting the lowest MF.

Gas mile is also a factor, and does the CX-5 Turbo need Premium?

The CX-5 doesn’t need premium (it just produces more HP when you use premium).

IMO, with CX-9, you are getting more car for the money.

Both solid deals from the $$ perspective in the current market in NY.

I’ll chime in since I recently bought a CX-9 Carbon. I wasn’t even considering the CX-5 due to needing space for two car seats and a stroller. I will say the CX-9 feels a lot more like a car or wagon compared to most SUVs.

Will you be sharing the car with someone? What is your commute like? Do you need the 3rd row? Have you driven both?

How does the total lease cost compare to what you can find in the Marketplace including broker fee?

Are you sure the MSRP of the CX-9 in your calculator is correct? It looks like a Carbon Edition. Grand Touring usually is around $47K or more.

This is what I was offered. I think it looks pretty similar to yours

“lot more like a car or wagon” - is it good?
