2023 Kia Carnival LXS Lease

,

Located in Massachusetts (02703) and I am looking to lease a 2023 Kia Carnival LXS w/ seat package. I have contacted several dealerships and two responded back with quotes. I ran the numbers through the LeaseHackr calculator:

MSRP: $36,930
36M
12k
.00234 MF
64% Residual
650 acquisition fee
400 disposition fee
6.25% tax

When I run the numbers I get $1,234 due at signing, $543 monthly payment.

However, the quote back from the dealer was $829/mo & $738/mo. These are both outside of my price range. What am I missing here causing the delta from the two prices? Is there any way to get closer to the calculator price? My thoughts are they are tacking on a mark-up. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. I’ve done other leases in the past and the calculator was in the ballpark as the quoted price. Thanks!

Find out how much they are marking up their Carnival’s. They are hard to get ATM , being marked up by 5-7k, at least in the NE region.

Is that the base MF? Did you confirm what MF the dealer is using?

Carnivals make very little sense to lease

They are marking up the selling price above MSRP or the MF, or both.

You need to contact dealers about placing a factory order or a deposit on an incoming vehicle. For a selling price no higher than MSRP.

And you need to finance it.

Dealership responded that it is a 5k markup. Same MF that I was using.

Now you know.
