Boooo. Hissssssss……Which of course means they did not really include the incentive at all.
That’s something this guy would do😀

Just means you should buy the lease out immediately
I personally have an allergy to buying EVs🤪
If nothing change i think Hyundai doesn’t prorate the rent charge.
They did with mine. I’m yet to see a lease contract that actually doesnt prorate rent charge.
I leased my XC60 Recharge on 12/31/2022 and the only incentive I got was a 500$ loyalty…What a clusterf@ck ![]()
I was going to lease my S60 Recharge after my salesman and everyone in the dealership swore up and down that I would get a tax credit on the lease. They both claimed ignorance yet assured me I would get the credit.
This was false. My accountant confirmed this. So I bought it at another dealership. If purchased (or deal was negotiated and non-refundable deposit give) on or before 12/31/2022, it was eligible for the $7500 tax credit.
I’m about to do my taxes next week so we will see if I can reap that benefit.
They did knock off about $4k from MSRP for Volvo loyalty and what not. There were under 2 dozen in stock in all of FL, so I think I did OK.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I bought the S60 on 12/27/2022.
EDIT2: The Volvo S60 recharge is a sleeper for those that don’t know. 40 or so miles on electric only then it switches to gas. Also 455 HP and 0-60 in 4.3 secs. Crazy fast.
The clause you’re trying to reference here is the transition rule of the inflation reduction act, that requires you to have entered a binding purchase agreement prior to Aug 17th 2022.
Because the S60 is built in South Carolina, and you took delivery prior to Jan 1 23, you qualify anyway. The transition rule doesn’t apply here.
Trying to find a BMW dealer motivated to move an i4 on this offer, but striking out quite catastrophically. Received an initial lease quote from a local BMW dealer today on an i4 eDrive35 that might be the all-time worst quote I’ve ever seen. This is… something!
Maybe….but you are getting valuable coverage for your seats and paint with Permaplate😀
“And isn’t that peace of mind worth an additional… checks notes… $506/month over the advertised lease offer?” ![]()
Beside of that generous additional covarage LOL, where is $7500 lease credit?
They claimed the $7500 lease credit was only available on dealer stock (this particular one is in transit). However, I see no such verbiage in the offer from BMW, and in-transit vehicles listed publicly typically quality as “dealer stock” from my experience. I think in this case the initial offer was so abhorrent that I’ll just move along to another BMW dealer and won’t even bother fighting with them.
That BMW dealer is full of it.
In transit, customer cancelled and dealer ordered are all eligible for the lease tax pass thru.
Don’t deal with such morons…
Fixed that for you.
They aren’t morons, they know exactly what they are doing.
Cross-shopping with the EV6 and Ioniq 5, which might be less obnoxious dealers to work with than BMW, at least in my area (Atlanta). Fingers crossed that Hyundai decides to ease up on the MF in March and/or Kia begins passing down the $7500 credit. If none of the above works out, I may have to settle for a Model 3.
Recently had my 2021 ID.4 lease bought back by VW after a long, nightmarish process. Really just looking for an affordable EV with decent charging speeds / range at this point. The i4 seemed to fit that bill, but BMW dealers in Atlanta don’t seem to want to play ball.
Order from one of the brokers on the east coast with 5% off. Shipping will be $500-$700. Problem solved.
KIA and Hyundai dealers are probably the worst in the industry. I think it’s one of the main reasons why the brand doesn’t do as well as it can.
Might have to go that route. I’ve never used a broker before, but I assume there are some decent ones here in the Marketplace?
I can get you 5% off and I have some in transit/about to be in transit.
