2023 f150 lightning ad

The dealer contribution is basically $2k that Ford is providing on the dealer-side as trunk (bed?) money. Either in the form of a direct incentive, or a variable performance incentive. Either way, Ford can’t ask a dealer to eat into their normal front-end or hold-back.

Here is the LH calculator as I understand the Ford deal (no taxes or acquisition in this calc). The $2k reduction off MSRP should be trunk money. $5,900 is the sum of the two RCL incentives. The MF is ultra low this month on MME and Lightning. The dealer is making a ton profit on this thing if the deal is signed as is.

McMullen Ford (IA) is literally advertising the truck with a $2k off MSRP. This is why the FTC is asking sellers to actually provide transparent language and honor advertised prices. It’s total BS for potential customers to have to navigate this type of junk. But yet nobody on this forum seems to care at all about the FTC trying to help customers. I think most of LH likes this type of pain in the system since it’s how only the best deals will fall to the clever hackers hah.
