I am trading in 2020’ 330XI, payoff is 31k w/taxes but they say it’s basically worthless right now.
Should I even keep trying to negotiate in this market?
Is it actually though when you compare the buyout amount to the purchase quotes youve got?
Yeah offers are just around 31k, plus I think with BMW I’d have to buy it out and then sell it. Also had the rear brake notification come up 2 weeks ago. All the dealers I’ve spoken to have pretty much told me it’s worthless to them.
You do get a tax credit in NJ, even on lease-to-lease. So if you’re being offered your buyout, it’s still worth it to trade it in for the tax benefit.
You can sell a BMW to a BMW dealership.
If you have time left on your 330i lease, stay in it.
Use that time to order something much more favorable than the atrocious programs and payments on the X3. Order something you’d be comfortable financing if the lease programs aren’t favorable at delivery.
Could you give a few examples of your suggestions? OP might not be able to find better discounts by ordering a BMW.
