2022 Mazda CX-30 Premium Did dealer try to get over on me?

Ahh Chicago dealers are tough. I just messaged you, might help!

Fwiw this deal was already a bad lease at 449/month (and nauseating once the 4 became a 5). I was so happy to read on and find out you didn’t sign anything and walked out. A happy ending indeed.

I just got the same car 2 weeks ago.
Same MSRP
NJ (taxes upfront)
Down p. $3000 including 1st month payment, taxes, and all the fees.
Monthly p. $339
Tire protection and all the maintenance for the leght of the lease included. 30 months lease.

Would be really helpful to know what the deal would have been without the maintenance and tire packages. Those costs should be specified on the lease contract.

It was stated as zero for TP and Maintenance

That’s a shame. We’ll never know the real deal.

I know that they charge $25/month for tire protection(which includes rims, tires, and glasses!), and they discount it if you try to negotiate it.(In this case, they waived it)
About the maintenance that is not that much, it is just oil change and filters in 30 months, filters excluded, some dealers offer free oil change for 3 years when you buy/lease a new car.
I think excluding all these options, it would have been $314/ month. $3000 DP, including 1st month, taxes, and fees.

Do you feel you got a deal?
How did you negotiate?

For the current market, yes.
Maybe in two months this will be very bad or fantastic; it all depends on events.
I needed the car the same day and had no time to wait.
Old school, the dealer x offered me this (true) you gotta beat it if you want my business.
Usually, it takes a little bit to understand the dealers who compete with each other and push on it.

Feelings don’t matter. It’s an effective payment of $429/month which is just too much for a subcompact SUV.

In your opinion what is a good lease payment?
But I think it’s been recommended to buy instead of lease right now. At the moment I have given up on Mazda. Still researching. I’m now looking at Jeep Compass High Altitude.

That’s a good recommendation. But you need to pick something that has a reputation for holding value. Definitely not a Jeep Compass.

Instead of this random approach, do some research. What are the best vehicles in this class? Which ones hold their values well?

How about leasing the Jeep then?

Compass leases right now are quite expensive

What are the numbers you are seeing?

When I ran the numbers briefly on a top trim compass with an aggressive discount, it was still like $600/mo

Buy rav4 and forget about it.

Are you adding in the acquisition fee?
