10-11% off was a good target, 12% was never easy.
Still an attainable discount nonetheless, but almost impossible in their specific market location.
What is the current lease structure on the BMW and how much of the positive equity subsidizing a worse deal? FYI shipping from Boston to West Palm Beach cost me $1k, in season, so its really not a big expense, especially if @aronchi has a better price on a unit and you avoid the ridiculous FL doc fees.
From what @Ursus and I have been discussing, probably around $2,000 (due to discount being less in current market). At this point, the XC90 is their only option besides keeping their car for the remainder of lease term since Q7 and X5 deals are nowhere near competitive. Also, who knows what the market will be like in 9 months if we started shopping then. Volvo programs have only gotten worse over the past few months.
For anybody else, I would have reached out to @aronchi. His deal is still a bit better since there is a lower doc fee on his cars. It would have also saved me a ton of time. The problem is that they are a âsee it in personâ type. Being that they didnât previously want a car shipped from Orlando and decided to get it local instead (worse of a deal) I didnât want to waste his time (he already has enough people doing that ).
This month especially. Horrible. âoh can you lower the price a bit?â⌠Why? Who am i competing against? Myself?
It sounds like they wonât listen to you. Did you show them your Trusted Hackr credentials?
Isnât relatives not listening to LH advice commonplace?
They have been perceptive to $0 DAS and 10 MSDs, so at least I have that going for me.
The 0 dealers out there giving them that âlower price.â I figured this was the case.
The first lease I helped my dad with, he was offered $650 or so on an e300 loaner and I told the dealer on his behalf we would do it at $375. He was mortified and wanted me to actually call and apologize so they would know we were serious. I did not, we got the car at $375 with just drive offs and MSDs and now I do his leases with no pushback lol. Sometimes you just have to force them
Same thing I did with their A6 during Costco. Audi dealer wanted them to pay $5,000 DAS and $780 monthly. We ended up at $2,000 DAS and $640 monthly (keep in mind this was a 24 month lease, but the car was 11.5% pre-incentive and base MF).
Now they will never even consider a car or deal without sending it to me first.
How has everybodyâs experience been with Volvo MSDs? From what I read, they just send them back to you after a few weeks of grounding the lease. Just wanted to see if this was still the case.
It took a good 4-6 weeks for me to get mine back after grounding my last volvo, but there werenât any headaches other than them not being in a hurry.
Thatâs good to hear. I have already restructured the deal and it looks like it will save approximately $1,650 over the course of the lease.
