OP, have you considered a motorcycle?
150hp on a bike packs lots of punch.
I’ve got close to 140 in mine, and you are absolutely correct. Particularly in the sport bikes, that basically puts you into supercar territory; there is nothing else that will put you into that speed category with minimal cost.
The Florida tag ruined my snowmobile idea.
