Agree for a sized only comparison. The reason why I cross shop the RDX with the Sante Fe and Sorrento and not the Sportage/Tucson is the engines in those models are rather slow. In the Sante Fe/Sorrento you get up to a more analogous power train which is important to us. The Tucson’s 0-60 can be upwards of 9 seconds+ which is just rather pokey.
In the ideal world, I would just purchase a Sportage Hybrid SX-Prestige for MSRP and call it a day. Gosh that would be wonderful.
Acura Pre-owned commanding that much LOL. Anyways if you are doing a long term purchase rather then a lease, I’d investigate further into the RDX owners club/forums on that motors oil dilution issue and quality. In addition, get some seat time and use of the infotainment (you’ll either learn to live with it or absolutely despise it).
The NX is interesting in that the way Acura and Lexus fight, as the NX will be smaller then the RDX but command same or higher prices. If sizing is not an issue a used NX can be a handy CUV. Another avenue is picking up a outgoing base RX at a sizeable discount.
