What’s the sales price before the volvo allowance/lease cash rolled in?
I just added, Thanks!
That sales price has the volvo allowance/lease bonus cash included in it. Definitely more helpful for others to compare with it stripped down to pre-incentive rather than pre-some incentives.
Is it better now ?
Yup, much. There’s been a bunch of volvo specific posts lately showing pre-incentive discounts without all the incentives pulled out. It’s how we get certain people looking back through deals deciding that 15% pre-incentive is a reasonable target, so I’ve been trying to catch it when I see it.
Thanks!
Nice job! Congratulations and enjoy the car!
Build a reasonable deal and send it to some dealers via email. Asking dealers what the best discount they can give you is not the way to go about it. If you are unfamiliar with the process, take a look at Leasing 101 articles.
Is there any specific language or wording you use to send offers to dealers doing it the way you mention? Up to now I have been doing it the other way and asking what is the best price you can do on a particular model?
I gather all the lease terms and send a breakdown of what I want, finishing with “if you agree to these terms I’ll be there in an hour to sign.” And then if they agree to those terms, I go within the hour to sign.
You want to make absolutely sure you have the numbers right if you’re going to take that approach though. Sending an offer with incorrect numbers is a great way to get your email sent straight to the trash.
Exactly what @mllcb42 said. Absolutely make sure all of your calculations correct. A lot of the “the LH calculator is broken” complaints we see here are because people do not add in the correct values for acquisition fee ($995 for Volvo), dealer fees, and government fees. It is easier just to calculate the payment and all that DAS, as I have had dealers call me back and tell me that the deal (which I sent to them based on LH and Edmunds numbers) works but our dealer fee is $599 instead of $549 .
