No problem. We are happy to help, but we encourage people to do a little bit of self-learning and research along the way!

he gave me the invoice 64375

So, then your pre-incentive price is effectively $100 more then invoice.
That means the dealer is making $4600 in profit on this deal.
Good for him, not so good for you.

If you would consider a dealer in PA, reach out to Rothrock Jeep/Dodge/Ram in Allentown. They will go 6% below invoice in my past negotiations.

Inventory is starting to slim down, especially on the night edition trucks where Iā€™m located. Looking 150 miles out from Long Island Iā€™m showing 30 Night Edition Laramieā€™s on the ground which isnā€™t a lot for Ram. Also night edition Iā€™ve noticed are one of the most desirable packages in the new rams and almost every Ram customer wants it. A lot of units are incoming but no clue on when theyā€™ll get here.

As far @z0lt3c saying the dealership is profiting $4,600 on this deal I wouldnā€™t necessarily consider that 100% trueā€¦ I donā€™t know where he got the whole 7% below invoice theory but Iā€™ve very rarely seen these go that low (at least speaking on my neck of the woods in the Tri-State); Holdback on the car is $2,053 so that would mean the dealership needs to go $2,600 under holdback which is a stretch IMO right now. Had we been discussing this pre-corona it then it wouldnā€™t be a completely outrageous target price if you put the work in.

As far as the current state of the car market I wouldnā€™t necessarily consider an invoice quote absolutely horrible but if your willing to call a ton of stores and properly use their quotes against one another Iā€™m sure you can get a store to get you at least invoice minus holdback.

You can find sponsor dealers on the Ram forum offering 7% below invoice no haggle and running specials up to 9% below invoice on certain models. Koons in Tyson Corner is one example, see this post.

I do agree the rariety of this model, and present market conditions, may make it hard to get into holdback, but I struggle to call $100 over invoice a good deal. If the OP really want this specific vehicle then itā€™s not really about the best deal anyway.

I looked into this and it seems that itā€™s more so a specific month to month thing which makes me believe its more so from manufacturer trunk money such as the end of last year when dealers were going under employee pricing but not a year round occurrence IMO.

Notice how a lot of the discount post are on select inventory which means trunk money on those models most likely.

Iā€™d be curious to see if that dealership is still willing to give those discounts now because they havenā€™t posted since march and the car market is gonna turn into a whole new ball game for a month or two if inventory doesnā€™t pick up.
