Sale price?

The dealer has provided only MSRP and no selling price. I have to get back to him with my preferred selling price. What would be the best price for me to quote him?

Quote him 10% off MSRP before incentives, if you want to. But I’d tell him to give me his best offer and go from there. You need to know what the reasonable discount is. Search, there are tons of recent CX5 deals.

He quoted 28900 selling price

Final Quote I received was -

MSRP: $30,970
Discounted Selling Price: $28,900
Tax: $974.71
DMV: $350
Doc : $499
Residual % : 0.56
Residual Amount: $17,343
MF: 0.00012
Due at signing : $1,823 10k miles. $339 a month

Are there incentives? Check Mazda site for your zip. I think under 7% discount is low. Did you check other deals? Did you look at what brokers offer? This would give you idea on where you are.

They are only providing 1 month deferred payment which is from the Mazda website

That’s expensive for a $31K car. Pass.

What would be a better deal?

There is $750+$500 in NY area. Build your car and go to payment estimator from summary. Also verify MF on Edmunds.

Hustle a little and you can almost get an Audi etron for that price

Also Pilot or MDX.

Effective 380 ~ a month too much for touring.

I would aim grand touring for that payment. Email dealers in 100 mile radius and simply make offer after their initial offer. See who bites.

To me any mid equipped suv (cuv) should be low 300’s. Don’t forget you just renting not buying, the payment you make dust in the wind plus turn-in fee.
