2020 Hyundai Kona 1.6T Ultimate; $286 w/tax, $286 DAS, with $750 trade-in

Hi everyone. Haven’t posted but always kept eyes on the forums, trying to absorb as much information as I can.

Negotiated the lease via email with the dealer. Straight forward process, dealer fulfilled promise.

This was my first lease, so I want to 100% verify that I got at least an OK deal. Any feedback would be great so I can do better next time.

Lease details:
2020 Kona Ultimate FWD

  • Terms: 15k miles, 36 months @ $286/mo

  • MSRP: $29,710

  • Sale price: $27,000 (agreed over email, but states $25,775 as agreed upon value on contract?)

  • RV: 56%

  • MF: .00164
(Edmunds stated 57% for RV and .00121 for MF, but didn’t want to fuss w/ dealer to double check with HMF)

  • Incentives: $3,000

  • Dealer fees: $950

  • Gov’t fees: $561.35

  • Tax: $992.50

  • Drive-off: $286 (first month) with $750 in trade-in (2010 Honda Fit with dents, scratches, and a non-working window, 167k miles)

Region: Chicago suburbs

Thanks!

Good deal IMO

The selling price could be lowered to bump up the MF and keep the payment the same; the finance manager probably makes a little commission doing that

Ah, I see. That would make sense. Thanks for the feedback.

Wow, I think the real story here is that you got the ultimate for a selling price of 27K! Subtract the $7500 fed and some state rebate and this is a hell of a buy.

7500 dollars?

This doesn’t appear to be the Kona EV

Oh poops, i get this tunnel vision when I come on leasehackr where I think all the great deals are evs.
