I’m trying to determine to best number of months to lease the car for at the best price. It seems like 36 or 48 months will be better.
The total additional cost of leasing for 4 years instead of 3 is about $7,700 if I’m looking at this right. That’s only $639 month for the 4th year.
Adjusted Capitalized Cost is $80,065
The Monthly Cost numbers in the chart are from the MBUSA Car Payment Estimator
$0.00 Down
$0.00 Trade-In
Amount due at Signing around:
24 months $2522
36 months $2288
48 months $2,151
So… is this an actual quote from a dealership for a specific vehicle, or something you worked out yourself? What’s MF, RV, taxes look like? MSRP? Incentives (if any)? Or are you payment shopping?
I ordered the car. The car arrived. I have not talked to the finance department and have never leased a car before.
MSRP $79,480
Destination $995
Total $80,475
Waiting for other numbers from Edmunds.
So all you did was order the car? Did you discuss discount at all?
I am not sure what this is. Is this DAS or how much they are giving you for a trade-in based on the leasing period? If the latter, that doesn’t make sense at all.
Yes, but take a look around the forum (use the search function) to find previous GLE deals. But before you do anything, read Leasing 101 and ignore the 1% rule article.
Most likely, this is a custom-order car so discount will usually be a couple % lower. The general trend on LH is either a loaner vehicle or a car that has been sitting on the lot for awhile, hence the discount they got.
That looks like it is a payment calculator off Mercedes Benz’s website. The manufacturer websites do not include a line for discount (no reason to anyway). Use the LH calculator.
I guess just start working on an offer then based on LH information, Edmunds MF/RV, etc.
GLE leasing numbers have not been that good from what we have previously seen, but don’t let that dissuade you if this is the car (and price-point) that you want.
I just got the quote from MB!!!
The MF is .00192
If I’m right, that is 4.608%. That seems a bit high.
MB quoted Residual at:
48/10 = 54%
48/12=52%
48/15=47%
This seems a bit low for RV.
They seem to be adding other fees as well like:
Vehicle Turn in Fee $595
Predelivery Service Charge $799
Acquisition Fee $1,095
Destination and Delivery Fee $995
