2020 Audi A4 Stuck in Service - What can I do?

Hi all,

I am leasing my first car with the help of the LeaseHackr community and got a pretty good deal on a 2020 A4 Premium Plus S-Line AWD signed on July 31st 2020.
After a couple days of back and forth with the dealership trying to activate Audi Connect, I dropped off the car to service to have them take a look. Both Audi connect and the emergency road side button are not working.
It has been at Service since August 13th and the person in charge of my car told me today that the VIN seemed to not be registered properly at Audi and fixing the issue could take weeks from his experience.

Have you faced a similar situation in the past? What can I do? Should I ask Audi to not pay my lease?
They gave me an 2019 A4 loaner FWD which is far from being as exciting as my car. I have been asking for a better loaner since I dropped off my car without success.

What is your experience and recommendations?

Thanks!

I’ve had a friend that leased ml350 ten years ago and then spent six months driving a C class because that ml was always in the shop for some problem. Eventually lemon lawed it back to them.

I hope it does not come to that for me…

I called Audi Customer Service this morning. They were extremely nice and apologetic about the situation. They called my dealership’s Service Department and will work with them for a quick resolution. They also opened a case to refund 1 month lease for now.
I will keep this post up to date in case it can help someone else!

Can’t you just drive your car while the sort it out? Or ask for a nicer loaner. At lease your getting the same model as a loaner.

Also not putting miles on your car since it’s in the shop. I guess look at the bright side…lol

I had VW that had lots of issues. VW paid lease payments for me while the car was in for repairs. Overall VW covered 8 out of 48 lease payments
