2019 SantaFe Limited 2.0T FWD - Good lease?

Hey Hackers. First time leasing.

Deal I got from 2 dealers in the Bay Area for the below vehicle:
Vehicle: 2019 SantaFe Limited 2.0T FWD.
Terms: 3yr/10K

MSRP: 35730
Sales price - No one’s giving me this.
MF: 0.00232
Residual: 60%
Per month: 365+tax(CA 9%)
DriveOff: 1999

Should I push more? Or rather can I push more? I mean I would definitely like to get the downpayment removed from this drive off. But this dealer(Dealer1) seems pretty done with the negotiations. He earlier started with a quote of 408+tax with 2000 DriveOff, but came down to this latest one once I showed him the quote from another dealer(Dealer2). Now Dealer2 gave me this quote without me even opening my mouth. A third dealer(Dealer3) gave me a crazy 466+tax with 2499 DriveOff earlier. So it’s pretty crazy fluctuations I am seeing out here - making me think just how much room there is to this deal?

I’m pretty set on this exact car(even down to the colors  but I’d hold a good deal over anything else this time). I like simplicity and a clean design.

Before someone suggests, I do have considered others:
Outback, CRV, Rav4, CX5, CX9, Highlander, Passport, RDX etc… - Don’t like the exterior and interior of any of these. Chevy, GMC - no no. X3 - Stupid infotainment system. And anyway, too much price.
Kia Sportage - have owner earlier. Ford EdgeST, Cadillac XT4 are the only ones I liked. Ooh la la, but but the trims I want get real pricey :frowning:

Don’t see X1 or X2 on your list, of never mind I see X3, so no BMW. What exactly do you want, you eliminated allot of great choices. This Santa Fe is literally as much as a loaner X3, I know which one I’d pick

Oh wait I don’t see the obligatory QX60 suggestion, so here it is

So you’d hold a good deal over anything else but you don’t want anything else? An effective $450/mo payment is insane on a $35k Hyundai at only 10k per year. $16k total cost for 30k miles woof. You could easily beat that payment on a comparable sized luxury class SUV and totally destroy it on a competitor in its class with probably more features. But you’ve already convinced yourself that this is the only vehicle you will lease and have ruled everything else out for whatever reason, sooooo you will pay for it…

If the dealer won’t provide the selling price until you see the contract in F&I, that’s a huge red flag that you should not do business with that dealer. More surprises for you await inside that office.

 solid advices… Man…leasing is…fun!

My advice is to not let dealers control the process. Would you shop at a grocery store that didn’t reveal its prices until you checked out?

Maybe it’s the best payment you can do for the vehicle or you could get it for half that…but who knows, we have almost no information, same as you.

Hyundai/Kia dealers generally seem to be pretty brutal to work with. Almost FCA level, but at least FCA honors their warranty without a fight  Might wanna look into a broker if you’re dead set on the specific vehicle. If not, you can do way better on any number of vehicles from a transparent dealer.

Dealer 1 just came back with the Selling Price and componentsof the Drive Off:

Selling Price: $32,766
Drive Off: $1,211.05
(290.73 tax 9%,
$398.20 advance payment,
$471 DMV Fee,
$85 Doc Fee,
$8.75 CA tire recycle)
Down payment: $787.95
Monthly: $365.32 + tax 9% = $398.20

What’s the 290.73 tax for? Is there a rebate in there “included” in the selling price or some other cap cost reduction? 9% Tax on your down payment is only $70.91.

Ps - don’t put anything down, roll everything in - pay first month only.

Yes, There’s a 2400 Manufacturer Lease incentive. Still unable to get those monthly numbers with the calculator with all of this fed in.

I just leased a CX-9 touring with the premium package. MSRP just under 39k. I was at $396/month with $1,500 down (taxes, fees and 1st month) but was at 10k/y miles upped it to 12k and ended up at $408/ month. This was in Texas where I had to fight for tax credit. I got a tax reduction from 6.25% to 1.5%. I’m sure you could get a similar cx5 for high 200s or low 300s. Just a thought.

Is that the correct residual?

I just got a quote on CX-5 Touring with zero down and zero signing for $340 (that is completely zero at signing includes first month). Deal was in San Diego.

Thanks, cool car and deal.

60%? yeah… confirmed the MF and residual with the dealer again and again.

Yeah, I was trying to hack a lease on a Santa Fe but gave up. MF is ridiculous.

You can get a much better deal on a more expensive, more capable Outback 3.6. That’s my plan.
