Was browsing a local Long Island, NY Mini dealer & got a rough estimate

2019 MINI Cooper S 6 Speed Manual 2 door Hard Top
MSRP: $31,150
Selling Price: $27,150
m/f: .00164
residual $19,313
$339/36 months, 10k miles/year
Drive off: $501.70
Quoted Price supposedly includes tax of 7% (registering at my Florida Home, reason for slightly lower tax rate)

I used the calculator & my numbers are not lining up correctly. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or I was given some wacky numbers? Any advice would be appreciated. I feel the residual I was quoted is wrong

I also asked about placing MSD’s & I was told it is no longer allowed for MINI in NY?

I think is an ok deal. Are you applying the rebate already in the discount?

You can’t keep the car in NY legally if it’s registered and FL and not kept there. That’s tax evasion. Because there are license plate scanners everywhere now, they’ll keep picking up your car and you will get caught. The tax difference is actually negligible and $15 a month at most.
