a bmw will never sound like a maserati, in superficial societies an m550 is still just a 5 series and a maserati makes you seem like you are more affluent, exclusive, etc etc., on the same note the maserati has nowhere the performance of the m550 or the tech.
The big 3 are eons ahead of the tundra in terms of tech, towing, etc etc. Somebody may need to haul a 8-10k lb trailer and find the tundra doesn’t do the job.
Getting off topic here a bit I suppose, but
I get maximizing value for dollar, however some times you have to pay more to maximize the value (i.e. towing/hauling pickup trucks), other times maximizing value for exclusivity (5 series vs maserati… even though it’s an outdated fca product)
