2019 Mercedes C300 RWD, $473 w/tax, $2K DO, 7,500 Miles, 36 Mos, UA Miles, in SoCal

Lease was ending on one of our E350s and we traded for this:
2019 Mercedes 300W RWD Sedan, nicely equipped with P01 Premium Pkg, 10.25" display, and the long-awaited Apple CarPlay (!!) and updated GUI. The deal seems reasonable, but see my note about added dealer profit below. Feedback appreciated.

  • Selling price includes $895 Fabric/Paint Protection packaged into the deal that cannot be removed to lower the cost. They’ve written this into every lease this way but the deals have been reasonable. Is this a creative way of commissioning volume sales or something else?

I honestly think this is pretty bad. The effective payment of $528 with only 7,500 miles per year. Search the forum what others are paying for C class. Or look at the payment of $500 per months of what people are getting here to see what options you may have…

I don’t hate this deal. It’s a 2019, so that’s a factor. The C Class is new(ish) for ‘19.

At $439 plus the $2k down is ~$494, which is ~1.05% on a refreshed new model.

Yeah, the mileage is low, but if that’s all OP needs, that’s what makes sense.

I don’t like the fact they baked that garbage $895 extra crap into the deal.

No loyalty or fleet?

I got $366/mo a year ago in NorCal, similar MSRP, only pd taxes, so this seems a little high. Plus the $895 garbage fee is a nonstarter

Yes, but he’s getting the “new” C-class. I don’t like the deal but let’s compare apples to apples.

You nailed that well.

Indeed. I had to have the CarPlay. Where do you think I should have been on this deal?

Nor do I. I question if this is simply a means of extracting extra profit or truly a blended margin deal as claimed. I need to do another lease in March and would like to avoid this bs if possible.

I average about 4K miles per year.

Def no fleet. What qualifies for loyalty?

Having a Mercedes Benz qualifies you for fleet. I might be able to do a little bit better! PM me

Back when I got an MB many yrs ago, it was having an MB registered to the same address (so basically having another MB in the “household”). Not sure if that still applies.

W/ other auto makes (BMW?) having the same brand w/i the last 12 mos also qualifies.

Yeah. This seems like a mediocre deal at best. I know it’s not apples to apples, but I got my dad a 2016 C300 with P3 and some other stuff. MSRP was just over $57k. Payments are $531 a month. Drive offs were also about $2k, but he put MSD on top to get that price. The price includes taxes and fees. I always felt like the deal we got was a bit expensive, but it was hard enough to find a P3 with Distronic and Pano and Red Upgraded Leather, and there definitely weren’t any loaners equipped how he wanted, so the price was higher.
