2019 eGolf for net $105/mo

Believe it or not, last month there were a few SF dealers offering them at low $24k. I was seriously thinking of flying there and just buy one. It’s been a while since i had my butt frozen in SF so i was actually planning the trip…then i saw Dustin offer.

Come back Dustin!!

Is there any way to replicate this is SFL?

Would you mind to share, where you check for current new car offers like that?
1-any one website like CarGurus,?,
2-scouting dealer sites?

I watched the market for months to get a sense of the direction prices were going. For general stuff cars.com and autotrader are fine but it also helps to know the dealers that have a history of crazy discounts. Sunnyvale VW is one of them in the Bay area and Santa Monica VW in L.A.
You can also check ev websites like http://ev-vin.blogspot.com/2016/07/current-lease-offers-for-selected-evs.html and https://electrek.co/best-electric-vehicle-prices/ in order to get the area where the deals are. Good leases always mean good sale prices.
And of course check this forum…if the deals are good you will see posts about them.

The eGolf deals are all dried up at the moment so wait and see what the next month brings…they may bring back the discounts in June.

They sure had “fun” trying to figure out how to structure the deal with the MSDs. It was a first for all involved…and it showed…time wise.

VW of DTLA is allegedly selling $33K e-Golfs for $26K:

https://www.vwofdtla.com/vehicle-details/new-2019-volkswagen-e-golf-se-los-angeles-ca-id-29729893

so the deal is back?

“Discount only available with Dealer’s 2nd Choice APR offer from VW Credit and may not be combinable with other incentives. Dealer’s 2nd Choice APR offer from VW credit as low as 4.9% APR* for 60 months for highly qualified customers who finance through VW Credit. See Dealer for Details”

So the difference is a 3% APR bump. That would be $3756 in interest (assuming $29k total financed) compared to $1422 on the standard 1.9%.
So the actual discount they offer is $4916 ($7,250 advertised)…even worse if you have any other discounts as you can’t stack any.

Meh…

I knew it!!

How was this monthly calculated out? I did a rough calculation and it was higher than $185.51 ($172.17 before tax)

Is there other incentive factored in selling price but not mentioned in the info?

Tax is 7.75% for me, grad was added, rebates and noncash credits $8k.

Come back this deal. I want one

He was advertising $10k off msrp on purchase. The lease deal is nowhere close to what it was. I would take the purchase over the deal i had if i had a do over. He said some eGolfs were in transit to his dealer.
