Done. Thx…

Sorry first time posting here, appreciate the feedbacks!

Double check FS is even doing lease transfers at this time.

They reopened them as of yesterday.

Pics ? I’m interested

Hi guys sorry for the late reply. Currently have someone that’s pending approval from BMW. Assuming they are backed up since they just reopened. Will wash up the car on the weekend and provide pictures if still available. Sorry for the 5 or so PMs I haven’t replied. Just thought it was easier to post here so I can give everyone an update altogether.

still available?

I ended up getting this car, unfortunately I didn’t see it beforehand and he gave it to me without the carbon fiber splitter ($2,600 value). Funny thing is, the splitter is the only thing I asked him about regarding the car and he said everything was fine. I took his word for it because I’m old fashioned and keeping your word means something to me. He then gave me a knockoff that’s didn’t even fit properly and then claims to not feel obligated to give me the original. Just a heads up to everyone on the forum to be careful with their own transfers. Unfortunately we still have these kind of people. Only posting this because he stopped replying.

Sounds like fraud to me. I would get BMW FS involved since it sounds like he breached his lease agreement before transferring the car to you. Alternatively you can take him to small claims court. Shame on you OP.

I doubt they’d do anything. They’re only processing paperwork

They probably wont help. I had a somewhat analogous situation a number of years ago and they said it was between me and the seller.

Wow. Thats not good at all. Problem is that IF OP did really defraud you, I doubt he will come back here or maybe just create a new username. His username doesn’t disclose much. I hope you find a proper resolution as that is not a cheap part to replace.

The transferee should have a copy of the transfer paperwork which has OP’s full name and address - that’s a decent start. Shitty move by OP, karma will catch up to him eventually.

I dont advise sharing that publicly. Definitely give OP a chance maybe first.

Sorry I just saw this. This guy is only explaining 20% of the story. Of course putting all the blame on me. I was trying to work with him as much as possible but he was not understanding.

Thats horrible. Could have been worse. This guy got it much worse
