Down Payment ($1500 + $4000 trade in value on my Altima) carvana would only give me 3k for my car, so honestly they are overpaying. It’s been in 2 accidents and has close to 90k miles on it.
So I would still pay $1500 at signing after the 4k for my Altima. So in reality its like $5500, but i wouldn’t have to worry about selling my Altima which is an added bonus.
Did you see the part about $5,500 down? OP didn’t include it for some reason in the breakdown, but he is trading in his car with $4k equity PLUS $1,500 in cash.
Would the same deal minus $4k out of your pocket be ok? Probably yes. Probably ain’t gonna happen.
Audis are tough nuts to crack. Have you considered using a broker? Sometimes the 300 - 600 you pay them is a bargain. Let them do the work on your new lease, and you spend effort on selling the Altima. Try CarMax, Carvana, etc. It’s pretty easy and you’re going to save money.
