Hello All
I got a deal on the volvo s90 inscription T6 AWD but the numbers do not make sense on the calculator.
This what the dealer emailed me. I did actually put a deposit on the car.
MSRP is $67,140.
Sale Price is $50,730.00
You will be putting $3300 down (6 MSDS and 1st month payment)
Your Money factor was reduced to .00002
Acquisition fee of $695.00
8% taxes included, along with title, license fee.
Residual is $36,605.60
Your payment is: $446.37 A Month
30 months /15K – using 6 MSD’s.
Or $432 a month for 36 months
Can you please help if I am missing anything on the deal?
yes seems a good price but the numbers do not add up.
total lease cost: 446.37 X 30 =$13391.1 with taxes
The difference between residual and selling price is $14125 that is without taxes and other fees!!
Seems like an amazing deal for that cost of vehicle. But I can’t make numbers work either, coming up with $563 for 36/15 using your selling price and backing the incentives out of it. I would run and sign it before they change their mind.
So here is a possibility, when I leased my S90, they subtracted the Volvo Allowance, lease cash, dealer discount, etc from the MSRP to determine selling price. Then the Aplan bonus was listed as a separate rebate (which for me was taxable). If I change the numbers to align to that, I get close to your total. But that means an insane 16% discount off MSRP.
Aparently they got the numbers wrong as expected. When they put the MSDs they used them also as cap reduction. By the time they realized that they already ran my credit application. So to fix things they went down on the selling price to $49100. I was able to get the car for $475 per month for 24 months 15K.
