2018 Subaru Forester Premium with Eyesight leased

It’s not the case with Subaru. I traded-in 2 Foresters: one with scratches & dings (the dealer didn’t even bother fixing it and sold it as is) and the other after major damage and got high trade-in values for both. The first one was a lease, and I decided to buy the next one. On the last one it was about 62% after 4 years and about 35K miles. After first financed Forester, your next financed will be a little less than leasing.
Subaru’s guaranteed trade value program gives you much lower value, so you should go by higher end kbb.
