2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i Limited / Touring Lease

Then hopefully this forum will help the next guy I guess

Carmax appraised her trade at $1800. The dealer at $2000. Another dealer $2000 and had a private offer of $2000. The car needed new tires and suspension so I’m pleased but your note is well taken. Probably about 400-500 off sales price would’ve been possible.

In order to get her monthly they had to reduce (pay) most of the fees like doc, title, reg, etc.

I like this site and found it very informative and helpful and hopefully someone can benefit from my experience as well.

They gave you higher trade-in (to make you feel good) and lower discount, it’s all numbers game. Without 3K trade-in it would’ve been ~$384, which is not good.

Got a quote which I think is good, any feedback?

Very pleasant to deal with, should I push for more off?

Discount is good, but others recently have gotten as much as 14% off on a 2.5i Touring. May be hard to hit that in your area, but definitely shop a bit.

Also, double check your MF - I think buy rate is .00075 on the 2.5i Touring.
