2018 Smart fortwo lease

So these cars have fallen out of popularity and since car2go is now moving onto 4 DR MB And they no longer make gas powered smarts, I was wondering if there were any good stories of leases out there? Examples? And why the Community as a whole hasn’t had any threads on this car? I’m in the NYC Area so this car is still appealing to me.

This is off of the website, but I’m sure Hackers can do better than this.

I think this comes down to a topic I was thinking of posting. Is it really a good deal to get an awesome lease on a really bad car? For example, I put my wife in a S400hybrid at $535 a month with 24mos and $1500 drive off then an E400Hybrid at $267 same structure. Had nothing but continuous problems, was it worth it? We had really nice loaners.

LMAO, “we had really nice loaners” has to be factored in the deal as well no? Yea, the market for this car was supposed to really make this brand take off, price, MPG and practicality really took them out. But hey if they’re willing to give me a great lease I’ll take it.

They need these cars for CAFE offsets. As for the loaners, yes, I never went over mileage on my leases.

How can something that was never popular fall out of popularity …?

Somehow Mercedes slashed 2/3 of the Smart dealerships. The closest one is 75 miles away from me. They wanted me to go in but I refused to as it is too far. They finally gave me a rough ballpark figure of $2000 down and $200 a month for a 26K MSRP car. I just laughed and said I will think about it.

I was only considering it because I only need a commuter car and I figure I can use the car to offset the $595 disposal fee from my current lease. I guess it is cheaper to eat that than to buy this Smart car

Don’t you know sarcasm when you hear it?
