2018 RX350L lease question

, ,

I am trying to lease a 2018 RX350 or RX350L in NJ 12k/36 months
Dealer was offering a GM’s car with 1.3k miles for MSRP 53K and quoted me 620 per month 1st month DAS. From Clublexus usually best discount before incentive is around 13% off MSRP before lexus incentive.
In this case for executive demo, am I able to negotiate down to 15% off MSRP and are numbers (MF, RV, lease case) still applicable to this previous GM’s ride?

Has anyone leased RX350 or RX350L in NJ? Please also advise.

first of all 2% discount for a demo over a new isn’t worth it. Aim for something in the 18%+ range.

The MF isn’t affected by it being a demo, the RV might be, I’m not sure about Lexus, some brands lower the RV depending on how many miles are on the demo.

Did you consider MSDs ?

Also from other recent RX350 posts, there seems to be $6k or so in rebates (do a search on this forum). Which the rebates alone are already more than 10% off your MSRP. So the dealer isn’t discounting much.

From my inquiry on edmunds.com, the RX350L rebate is 6.4k in my area. Will try to push for more discount for sure and see how they adjust the RV. MSD is also one of my options.

Unless the MF is super low, MSDs are worth it if you have the cash

MF for 2018 RXL is 0.0017, MSD sounds a good option to lower the rate.

take a look at this:

more miles a month and located in a state with worse taxes

That $536 is my target, thanks a lot.

Dealer came back with below RX350, I am in NJ
12k/36mos
MSRP 53681
Selling price 47144 (12.2% discount on a demo 1.3k miles car)
Lexus rebate 2500
Acquisition 795
Document fee 699.75 (obviously bogus)
MF 0.0006
RV 53%
Monthly payment 590
DAS 1st month and DMV 315

Any advise is welcome

Still way too high vs Texas 536 per month with similar MSRP

What you have to remember too is that in Texas we have a $6500 lease credit on the RX350L and tax credits that buy down taxes to only 1% of selling price
