2018 RR Velar Loaner Offer

Hey guys,

I received an offer earlier today for an 18 RR Velar S250 loaner/demo. Here are the details:

MSRP: $62,648
Proposed Sale Price: $56,500 (includes 2k Conquest Cash incentive)
RV: $36,336
MF: 00089
Proposed Lease: $693
Current Miles: 3,400

Thoughts?

Bad deal. Worse than new deals posted herr.

ugh. feel like most of the dealers located here in NY/NJ are unwilling to budge. haven’t been able to find anything CLOSE to some of the deals I’ve seen posted here.

That dealer is probably making AT LEAST $5k on that deal.

Come up to mass

Love to do this type of lease in Chicagoland. But unable to get a dealer to budge also. Seems like a unicorn here!

I have a specific RR velar to buy myself, once it goes around 550 I’m THERE. https://www.parkplace.com/VehicleDetails/new-2018-Land_Rover-Range_Rover_Velar-R_Dynamic_SE-DFW_Airport-TX/3160305733#close

or something similar in that color, hopefully your crystal ball predicts this under 550

Guyssss don’t lock yourself to dealers within 50 miles of you. Be willing to get a cheap one way plane ticket and drove home. It’s really not that bad. More fun too IMO.

What if the broker is a Dick and only gives you 5k miles?

not a bad idea - i haven’t considered checking out of state for a deal (interested in a velar as well)

My upper limit for searches is usually 100 miles. When you start getting into long trips, unless you are getting something insanely cheap that can’t be replicated aren’t you eating into your savings when you account for gas, tolls, mileage, etc? If I found something in California (for arguments sake) and drove it back to NJ I probably didn’t save anything, unless it was a once in a lifetime deal.

I’ve literally never leased a car within 300 miles of me. I am in st Louis so the market sucks. Chicago isn’t much better. The math always works out.

$150 one way ticket, $60 in gas to get thousands in savings? Yes please.

That’s true. Doing the math roughly, it’s probably about 500 bucks total in expenses to go about 1000 miles away if you add up a plane ticket, gas, tolls and estimate 15 to 25 cents per mile. On a 36 month lease as long as you are saving at least 15 bucks a month or so it ends up being worth the trip I suppose.

I’ve contacted a few dealers in mass and unfortunately there are restrictions for leasing out-of-state
