2018 Mercedes E300 - Good Deal?

Curious what everyone’s thoughts are on this. I’m in SoCal and a dealer on the forum reached out and was able to put this together. I think its a bit on the high side with me having to max out the MSD’s.

MSRP: $70,065
Sales Price: $62,552
Residual: $40,437.60
MSD’s: 10, $8,500
Money Factor: .00076
Miles: 12,000
Term: 36 Months
Monthly: $692.56 (plus tax is $746.23)
Total due at signing: $11,243.29 ($8,500 MSDs and $2,743 of the below)
-$91 tax, $731, title, $80 doc fee, $746.23 first month
-Obviously this comes up short of the $2.7k this is the only dealer to quote me this high for drive-offs and it includes $0 cap cost, but is all tax and acquisition fees that haven’t been broken down to me further

Does anyone think I can get lower? I haven’t gone in yet and am hoping I can knock it down some but really want to try and avoid maxing out the MSD’s.

Any input is very much appreciated! Thanks

We need more info. Can you post a lease offer sheet from one of the dealers that shows all of the figures?

Can you answer the following questions:

  • Length of your lease?
  • Money factor / residual?
  • Selling price before incentives?
  • Lease incentives?

This will help paint a much more complete picture as to what you’re working with in terms of your lease.

Apologies, updated the first post with more info. Thanks!

Discount is low and there doesn’t seem to be any factory money on the car that I see. You should consider a demo, you can do a lot better than going new.

Any tips on finding a demo? I’ve only found one and it was a horrible color combo without the option I wanted. All other dealers pretty much say they have 0 demos.

Depends where you are located and the dealers, some list them online some don’t and you have to call. Are you wedded to a fully loaded E300? $70k is pretty much the top.

Yeah. Just want it with the driving assistance features and awesome screen for the instrument cluster. No dealers around me list them online, and when calling they all say they have none and aren’t expecting any. Oh well

Where are you located? Expand your search radius, be open to shipping or a road trip for a good deal.

Orange County, California. I’m definitely fine to do that; just wondering where I should be on the deal so I know what to shoot for.

That’s a really bad deal for a loaner. I’d bet you can get a new one for the same or possibly even less. Which dealer from here offered you that terrible deal?

This is a horrible deal. You can get much more discount. Ask for more discount or look for another dealer.

It is not a loaner at all. I’m not sure why people are assuming that.

Not sure what “2,000” you quoted. What should I be looking for? Not really helpful when everyone is saying it’s bad but no one has any advice on a sales price to shoot for. This isn’t a loaner, either. It’s a new car lease.

Hmm, not sure why I thought it was a demo/loaner. Does your price include the $1k dealer incentive? I’d think there isn’t much demand for a $70k e300, so you should be able to get a bigger discount. Also, that MF is marked up to .00146 from the buyrate of .00126.

I quoted by mistake, was using my phone to reply. Shoot for a 15% discount on MSRP. Try getting the mf down, give MSDs if you can. If you get it 15% down, go to another dealer and get the selling price even lower. Let me know if that helps!

It doesn’t seem like you read my post. This already accounts for 10 MSDs and is a Mercedes which isn’t as notorious for being able to get to 15% at all. Thanks for the help though. I’m gonna try and knock down the sales price.

I’ll have to confirm the incentive. My thoughts as well regarding the demand, but apparently it’s there. I’ll also ask about the money factor. Thanks for your help!

On a demo, depending on mileage you should be around 18-20% off. Other things to do are check if you qualify for fleet pricing through your job or via United. I’m pretty sure there have been CA hackrs who scored on E300s so do a search and check where they leased from. You can also check Car Gurus for E300s in your area and sort by mileage on the vehicle. If you see cars in the 3k,6k,7k mile range you should email those dealers to check if they are demos.
