$455 per month effective cost including tax isn’t (very) bad for a 2018 CX-9 as they typically don’t lease well, but I remember seeing better deals for a ~44K MSRP CX-9 2017’s around mid-year with 12k per year. If memory serves me, it was about $400 flat all in.
Since there is little change from the 2017 model, did you check to see if there’s any inventory left that is attractive to you?
I got a 2017 Touring with premium with about 41k MSRP for $400 all in a month ago. Only first month payment due on signing. This is in NJ.
CX9’s are great cars! A year into it, I’m still in love on a daily basis with my 2016 Signature. However they don’t lease particularly well, Mazda just isn’t cutting the price to move metal the way other car makers are and they don’t own Mazda Capital Services which is run by Chase.
The 2018 models have some nice tech upgrades. However, to lower my total cost of ownership, I gave up on leasing and bought a lightly used 2016. Cars.com has them starting in the low 30s.
