2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Lease Offer

Hi all!

I have been searching for my next lease and I have decided on a Grand Cherokee this time. I currently have a GMC Acadia SLE-2 off lease in 5 payments totaling $1700. I have a dealer that has given me the below:

MSRP: $42485
Discounts: $5250
Sale price: $37235
$339/mo 12000 miles 39 months $0 down
Not including my trade and also not including my Affiliate Rewards program wich they told me is in there but not showing on paperwork. Should I trust them or run to the hills? If I roll in the $1700 from the GMC it will increase my payment $44/mo.

Is that including tax? If you stick with GM you are probably approaching pull ahead territory, and you wouldn’t have to roll the payments in, no?

That is with tax. I looked at the GMC again and they ran my VIN and I am not qualifying for any lease pull ahead at this time. Even the dealership would not help with these payments and get me into something new. Maybe its the dealer but I called a couple and they all said things similar. Oh well GM may lose my money and business and someone else may get it.

That’s strange, I rolled in 2303 worth of remaining payments on a competitive lease into my deal the other day on an Acadia. I had the 1500 dollar conquest rebate because of that, but it looks like there’s 1500 in lease loyalty available too right now. If you are able to wait another month or so you might get the pull ahead offer direct from GMF, which would get rid of the negative equity altogether. And if you have a competitive lease you might be able to take advantage of that in March if they bring back the 3000 dollar conquest rebate.

what dealership?? I’m looking for a jgc as well

@ElectricEliminator I wish my dealerships around me here in PA would be more willing to work with customers like you mentioned. I have even thought of going to a neighboring state to look as well but then some states will not title into PA from an out of state dealership. If your dealership was in PA which one did you use?

I was in NJ. I had some trouble with PA dealerships too. Fred Beans in Doylestown, the manager Kyle was pretty no nonsense, but we just couldn’t make it work. I didn’t even bother trying to get him to match what I had since the MSRP of his similar inventory was just too high to make it work and I knew it. I would deal with him again though. On my Chevy they had the same price as what I went with, were even going to deliver it, but I had a family member who wanted me to use their dealer so I went that route. What part of PA are you in?

I am in the Allentown area. I typically deal with Easton dealerships but this time I have been talking to dealers from as far down as Philly and Harrisburg and some in between. I am not believing that there is nothing that can be done to earn my business and keep me in a payment that I am looking for. I am not being unreasonable with my wants and price. I am looking for a Grand Cherokee Limited with a moon roof. I don’t even need NAV since the Grands come with Apple CarPlay now. The residual on a Grand is higher than the Acadia when I looked at them again as well with 53% where the Acadia is lower at 45%. Not too sure where this is all going wrong but maybe its just not the right time to do business and I should just wait until my payments are almost gone closer to the end of the current lease.

Which Acadia is 45%? What trim/terms? My SLE2 was 56% at 36/15. Denali is higher, and I think the SLT might be higher, or at least the same. I believe the SLE1 was 57%

Star Buick GMC in Easton was OK but I didn’t follow up with them when I got the deal I got. I think I could have gotten Patriot GMC to deal but they called back too late. Checked out Reedman Toll for the Jeep? They are a volume dealer and I have gotten good quotes on FCA products before with all the rebates that were available, particularly if I financed with Ally at the time.

I do think that once you get down to 3 or even 4 payments that you’ll probably trigger pull ahead if you are with GMF right now. Might be worth asking them.

What were the discounts you received?? I’m in the market for the gc high altitude or gc altitude

That is what STAR told me from Q-Town and my payments on an SLT-1 was over $450/mo for 39 mo with $1500 down for 12000 miles. The MSRP on that one was 43785 and I did not get many of the advertised rebates but I do belong to Costco and that should get me the discount for being a member there. That also did not include my trade which was going to add over $40/mo more. If I was purchasing a vehicle maybe I would conside that payment but not for an Acadia lease.

I know at 39/15 you lose about 4% on the residual, seems like 36 would be a better term IMO. Doing it roughly at 58% residual at 36/12 with 10% off 42,820 MSRP (Picked an FWD SLT1 that has the moonroof for arguments sake), estimating rolled in fees and taxes (6% for PA?) and rolling in the 1700 I get about 436/mo all in, assuming I did PA taxes right and you get the 1300 and 750 CCR, 1500 loyalty and 1000 Auto Show bonus. It’s all going to depend on finding someone to give you that discount, or maybe more if someone is really desperate, and whether or not that trim meets your needs. Is leather a must? What about AWD? The SLE2 can be had with AWD and roof but no leather, but you get a higher residual.

@ElectricEliminator Well we would like leather but don’t really need it. The SLE-2 would be nice too with a roof and AWD is necessary. I just need to find the one with the pearl white paint as that is what the wife wants for a color. I’m almost certain that is an extra cost as well. If the residual is really that high on an SLT-1 is it better on the SLE-2? I would like to find a dealer that will be willing to do these numbers and get us with all the discounts out there. We do not qualify for any military but we do have another lease with a Jeep now and that should get us something more as well.

Definitely wait till your payments are gone or you qualify for a pull ahead program. Makes a huge difference. You can also extend your lease for a month if need be while you work out the next deal.

SLE2 is 58% at 36/12. SLT1 actually looks to be the same at 36/12. On an AWD SLE2 with Sunroof I’m getting about 416/mo as possible with the same discount, rebates, taxes, fees, etc if you get 10% off. That’s on the cheapest one I could find within 100 miles that met the criteria. Quick and dirty, if Star gives you 10% on the cheapest one they have at 43,765 it should be about 446 with everything rolled in depending on the fees. PA doc fees are usually cheaper than NJ, and I’m not sure about DMV. That number is based off what I paid in fees, which was 650 bank (I was told in multiple places that GMF raised it to 650 this year), 434 Doc (PA should be lower) and estimating 400 DMV (could be lower, especially if you are able to transfer plates). Also that’s straight 6% PA tax, if you are in Lehigh County I think that’s what you pay. Allegheny pays 7%, Philadelphia County pays 8, and Philadelphia city effectively pays 10% I believe.

Pull ahead would definitely help… Star should be at 388 or so taking that 1700 out of the mix. Might be worth waiting a month and see if you qualify at 4 months remaining, you risk the programs becoming less favorable, but they could get better too if they are looking to move units at the end of the quarter.

On the Cherokee do you know what money factor and rebates they were using? Looks like there should be 3500 total available for you. 2500 Lease cash, 1000 conquest. I’m not sure how much the MF and residual vary regionally, but it looks like 0.00012 and 53% at 36 mos or 51% at 39 mos.

(Edited to reflect that the IDL cash available won’t stack with the other Chrysler offers. Dunno if US Bank or Ally has better numbers, but Chrysler is basically offering zero interest)

Do you have all the numbers on the GC? MF, RV, Affiliate Rewards discount, etc? That’s a good deal at those numbers.
