2018 i3 REX norcal lease

Price $47,295.00

-$7500.00 rebate

=$39,795.00

15k per year

Same drive off of $4000.00

$428.00 plus tax = $470.00 total

buyout = $27,113.00

this seems really high. how should i negotiate this ? please help!

On a 2017 from a dealer in Nor Cal, my quote was $2500 drive-off and $315 plus tax, but they will only do 36 mos. That’s at 10k.

was that with mileage extender model ??

Start by negotiating the price. You didn’t post MSRP but it seems like you are only getting about 3k off MSRP. Lease support for 2017s ends in 3 weeks so they WANT to sell you the car now since like 80% of i3’s are leases.

Also decide what monthly you think corresponds to a reasonable sale price. Sometimes if you just offer that “I wanna pay zero drive-off, $280/mo” they might do it.

If you are a PG&E customer, this may help - https://www.pge.com/en/about/newsroom/newsdetails/index.page?title=20180301_pge_customers_eligible_to_save_10000_on_a_new_bmw_i3_electric_vehicle

I had this offer in Jan on a 2017 service loaner with aprpox. 4000 miles I think, but didn’t end up buying in NorCal. Yours being 2018 maybe try to get 12k/30 Months that should get you 62% residual if I remember right. Another option is looking for 2017 or service loaner to get a lower sale price to begin with.

MSRP: [$49,995]
Selling Price: [$43057]
Rebates: $9,500 [$7500 iCredit, $2,000 lease cash]
Trade-in: [$0]
Months: [36]
Annual Mileage: [15,000]
MF: [0.00152]
Residual: [55%]
Tax rate: 7.75%

Monthly Payment 340 incl. tax

The PG&E deal, which is really a factory deal as you can get the same $10k off through Costco, AMEX, or if you work for a large company, only works on purchase, not leases. I’ve been looking that that one too. The same deal only translates to $500 off MSRP in a lease.
