2018 Honda Odyssey/Toyota Sienna: Lease v. Finance? Any NJ, PA Dealers

Hello Community - I am in market for a Minivan. Looking for either Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna.

Are there any dealers here offering a slick deal in NJ, PA area (more like South Jersey region)!?

What numbers (selling price with discounts etc.) should be targeting to make it a good lease?

TIA!

I don’t think that Hondas lease well in general and now specifically, nor do I know how the Sienna would lease at the moment.
There is a guy here offering his services for Toyota in general but he is in SoCal, not sure if the shipping is an option. But maybe he can help with general advice - @Cody_Carter

I don’t think you’ll be hacking any leases on those.

Recommend penfed / DCU credit union purchase

Anyone can comment on the following numbers for a Honda Odyssey EX-L

Msrp-$38,435
Discount-$3218
Money factor .001600
Doc-$399
Registration-$312
Acquisition Fee $895
Mileage-10k per year for a 36 month term
Incentives-None other than (military or college)
Residual-59%
Sales tax roughly based on New Jersey $1,165.15
These numbers are also based on top tier credit.

Payment is $462.36 with $2,700 down 10k a year.

Odysseys are not leasing well right now. If you’re set on leasing (and doing a 36/10k lease so you’re under warranty the whole time), you may want to check out the Chrysler Pacifica. The Touring-L with leather is coming up at $325 with $1,700 due at signing including taxes and fees on Honcker in Northern NJ–almost $6k less than your deal. It’s usually possible to beat Honcker deals if you’re willing to put in the legwork, too.

Thanks. I will test drive this today.

any personal experience with folks here between Odyssey v. Pacifica?

I tried Sienna and didn’t like as much

Any thoughts?

I don’t have any solid information on lease pricing. When I went to look way too long ago to matter, the Honda and Toyota didn’t lease well.

We bought a Honda Odyssey EX-L with RES, and we love it for what it is. Highly recommend.
My in laws had bad luck with a Chrysler Minivan. I generally want to stay away from Chrysler due to reliability reputation.

Honda drove better and felt nicer than the Toyo.

All regions have different incentives but here is how the Sienna looks in SoCal.

2018 Sienna LE
MSRP is $34,785.00
Sale price is $31,156.00
invoice is $32,849.00
MF 0.00104
Residual 54% $18,784.00
$902.68 Drive off
$416.64 plus tax

I will say, one of the head auto reviewers over at “Consumer Reports” gushes over the Pacifica. He was assigned one for a long term test, and ended up buying one before he even turned his test vehicle in. Probably the best vehicle to come out of Chrysler in years/decades (that’s not saying much though).

tbh… the technology was far superior in Pacifica and in general the car seemed fine in comparison to Sienna and Odyssey!

Overall driving smoothness and steering control comparison for me: Odyssey > Pacifica > Sienna. If I rate the technology and audio, then Pacifica wins hands down.

Having said that, I’ll be open to lease Pacifica or Odyssey provided slick numbers
