Thanks for this helpful site and forum. I’m new to leasing and despite reading lots, I still feel a little torn. I’d love your opinions on this possibility:
2018 Honda Odyssey EX
15k mi/ 36 mo
MSRP: 34,800
Sale price offered by dealer: 32800 (this has not yet been negotiated, so I hope to get it closer to 31000.
Residual: 0.58
MF: 0.0013
I’m hoping to do a single pay lease - not sure if that matters or not.
EDIT: it has 1400 miles on it, b/c Toyota ‘borrowed’ it? What is reasonable for me to negotiate the price to?
The other deal I’m considering for comparison sake is a 2014 EX-L with 35k miles (lease turn in). The dealer asking price is 24,800 - again, has not been negotiated.
How did this turn out for you?
I’m curious because I have a 2014 EX-L with Navi, the lease ended at the end of July but I haven’t been able to settle on a replacement for it yet. The 2018 is on my list, but Honda has lost a lot of my respect during the last year or two (both as a company and my local dealership).
In the same boat. My wife has 2015 Exl with RES that she is looking to upgrade. Honda is offering no support on this vehicle. Everything I have been offered, the lease price equal finance price.
I got pricing on 2018 Honda Odyssey EXL for $410 a month with 2000 down. This is for Chicago suburb area, is this a good deal to jump in? I feel little this is higher when compared to recent 2017 close out deals, but this the best after going through few dealers.
