This can’t be true, if you buy cash the selling price won’t be 10K less than invoice price for the dealer. The lease allows for tax credit to be taken off the invoice and that makes the selling price go down to the 27K per my understanding. Happy to be educated more if I am mistaken here.
The sales price isn’t lowered, the adjusted cap cost is. HFS knows that the Clarity gets a tax credit, so they adjust the RV lower.

I found a mention on hidden rebates of up to $7,100 for the Clarity Plugin Hybrid here, but the dealer said he doesn’t know about them (http://www.realcartips.com/news/0651-biggest-hidden-rebates.shtml). Does anyone have more info about the rebates?

Email some SoCal dealerships. The dealer discount can be in the $3500 range if not more. I’d say you’d have to hit at least $10,500 off in total ($7k+ rebates + dealer discounts) to call it a deal.
