2018 Chevy Volt LT - $6640 One Pay - 36mo/12K - California šŸ”„

which dealer? did you get supplier discount as well?

Good to hear. I feel kinda bad referring people to Momentum Chevrolet, because I hear a lot of people had bad experiences there. However, for anyone with GM Supplier discount, it sounded like they walked away with the $7200 deal, which is about the same as I paid.

@kaiotes Momentum of San Jose. Yes, with supplier discount. They sold 30 cars yesterday, and not sure how many today. Crazy today at the dealership, and they have to turn away so many people because they ran out of LT, they will have a few Premium ones, might be able to get some deals on that but didnā€™t ask. They are getting more cars next week as I was told.

i was one of the unlucky ones at Momentum. did they verify your ID for the supplier discount?

This looks similar to the pink $7163 deal but for 10k miles. The adjusted cap cost is $160 higher and $13 less rebates on your deal.

Thanks again for referring me there.

@kaiotes yes they did. but the person next to me was getting a pretty similar deal without supplier discount which around ~$7300/10K or less without supplier discount. They are still negotiating before I left. Maybe the dealership is more desperate today.

they were willing to do 71xx for 10k for us without the supplier disc. but this was sat morn. we didnt get any cuz we wanted the 71xx deal.

Yeah, thatā€™s the brochure for XS Wear. Iā€™m wondering if anyone received guidelines on allowable wear if you did NOT purchase XS Wear. I did not receive any guidelines, and I wonder if itā€™s because they donā€™t send you stuff (e.g. a ā€œwelcome to GM Financial packetā€) if youā€™ve done one-pay, since youā€™re all paid up and donā€™t owe any money.

Thatā€™s a pretty good deal. My friend was there for 3 hrs on Sat afternoon, the best he got was $8.5K without supplier discount. So the deal varies by time of the day as wellā€¦

I would consider yours a very good deal! People were getting $7200 for 12k miles per year, so you figure $300-$350 less for 10kā€¦gets you to right about where you landed. Sometimes we focus on the BEST DEAL ever ā€“ in this case, itā€™s that one guy who got the equivalent of $6300 one-pay. But dealers are capricious, and itā€™s not realistic that we will all get the same deal.

For these deals it seems the best time to get in is in the middle. In the beginning, thereā€™s not enough information for reference, so you donā€™t always get the best deal. Then at the end, there are too many people and supply goes down, so the deal becomes not as good. You got a good deal at the end, so it worked out. Congrats!

well spokenā€¦

Is one pay available anywhere with GM, or only certain markets? Is MF lower, since it looks like GM has a pretty low base MF?

Email I got today from one of the dealership form the ā€œInternet Sales Specialistā€:

ā€œUnfortunately, there is no way to provide lease pricing via email or phone. There is many factors that go into a lease such as the final sale price, the residual value, the terms, your credit, if youre trading something in and if you are putting money down etc. There is no ball park number for a lease and we do not currently have any specials on leasing a Volt so we would have to personalize it for you. We would love to invite you in to go over your options with a sales professional. I do understand life gets busy, however that would be the only way to provide you will accurate numbers. Do you have any availability this week?ā€

Did I ever tell how much I hate dealerships?

Second dealership wants me to come in as well, WTF???

One pay is available for everyone via GM Financial, some dealerships will push back because they donā€™t do it a lot and it is some minor extra work.

Every dealership will reply back to your initial request with a deflection and asking you to come in, that is just how it goes. You need to reply back telling them that you are at work today but have already been into another dealership to test drive and view the car and are ready to come in and sign the paperwork this evening if they can do X deal. If you know you have top tier credit you can add that in also.

I tried that, but thatā€™s a reply I received on my reply.

What does one pay exactly do? I am guessing you can loose it in the event of a total loss accident, so it better be worth it.

These are two in my town of Albany NY, it seems all dealerships in Albany are synced and Iā€™m not even sure why they have ā€œInternet sales departmentsā€.

great deal. was 15k miles per year?
