2018 Audi A6 deal, how can I do it better?

Got an offer of 2018 Audi A6 2.0T, FWD Premium Plus
Term 36 month/ 7500 miles a year
MRSP: 54,765
Discount: 15,332
Price after rebate: 39,433
Residual: 24,644.25
Cash Down: 5000
Monthly payment: 450 before taxes and applicable fees

Thing is discount looks good but I overpay 6,401 during 3 years which is strange for me.
Its a first time I’m trying to get lease and I’m little confused with numbers provided.

How can I get better offer, what should I ask?

Ask about the money factor being given

$5,000 cash down? what is the breakdown on that?

Yeah there’ll be inflating the MF to offset the discount. Shop the numbers to other dealers and try and get base MF.

Otherwise for that amount you are close to A7 3.0 Quattro money.

I have asked about MSD, they offered me 9 security deposits equals 3825.00 and the new monthly payment is 419.30.
manager told me MF is 0.0005 which is make no sense. And based on lease calculator its about .00258 before MSD and and about .00213 after.
Also If I got it right, residual is 45% (24,644.25/54,765*100)

Not the worst deal, but MF is inflated. Too much money down.

They’re stiffing you on the MF and then offering to make it lower by you putting MSDs down. No bueno. The person is messing you around, especially if they’re not providing detailed quotes. You’re in Socal so assuming you have other dealers with stock shop around, speak to @IvanAudi. Getting 10% off, plus incentives and base MF for this vehicle is not unreasonable and other dealers will do those numbers.

Following.

I stopped by a dealer yesterday and checked out a 2018 A6 and the salesman said that he could get me “a great deal”

I’m waiting on the numbers but he said that with 2000 down and low mileage lease he could get me in the 600’s, which didn’t sound great at all.

final numbers I got from Audi Valencia

But in the end my wife convinced me that we don’t need second car so far :frowning:

been a long time lurker, and my first post.
been looking at the a6 3.0 for a while now and about to pull the trigger. in socal.

got 2 offers from my broker friend and not sure if it’s repeatable, i’m only pulling the trigger on one so other might be still avail.

a6 3.0 sport. monthly 569.00+tax 1350 DAS
msrp $62190 audi loyalty 1000. 12k/year
a6 3.0 P+ with comp. 639+tax 1350 DAS
msrp 63250 audi loyalty 1000. 12k/year

i believe mf is .00074

what does the experts think?

Deal on the sport is a great deal. I personally love the competition package, but not sure it’s worth an extra $70/month.

Throw in some security deposits and save even more.

thanks,

i was going to stop at p+ but those seats…

Knowing the type of person I am, I would swing for the competition. The Comp package is still a killer price for the car, even if it is higher than the sport. I’m sucker for the Competition package on the Audis.

Yeah, the competition definitely transforms the car.

The only thing that’s curious is the msrp is very close between the 2 cars, yet the competition lease is much worse.

Is the competition a prestige trim?

If not, why is the program worse? Is the dealer just not as motivated to move it?

No way of knowing for sure without entire car breakdown of each price.

The Competition package can be on both P+ and Prestige, just depends how it is equipped, I’ve seen most on Prestige. It can be because the RV and incentives on the trim package are different than offered on the other vehicle.

at work right now but i think the price difference between the two is about 3k
sport has 20in black optics sports is $60500 typo.
p+ with comp. only.
