Went to a Audi dealership today looking for A5 Sportbacks, knowing they don’t lease well (no incentives, 1st model year). However, wanted to try my luck. Wouldn’t come down below $700/month, and were reluctant to even discuss or negotiate.
Anyways, this is what I got for a new A4.
New 2018 A4 Premium Plus - Navigation & Telematics - Cold Weather - S Line Exterior
MSRP (Sticker) - $49,460
Selling Price - $46,500
Rebate - $3,500 (Did not get a breakdown of what the rebates were)
MF - 0.00063
Residual - 55%
36 Mo / 10k a year
Tax - 7%
Fees - $279.27
Monthly Payment $551.50
Not getting the exact numbers on the calc here, but pretty close.
I currently lease a 2016 C300 with 3 more payment to go, which the dealer said will take care (write a check to me).
How is this deal? [Looking for E300 as well, but I am not sure about the payments - waiting on one dealer to quote; Also open to other cars - BMW 4/5-Series, Infiniti Q50 (not a big fan though) ]
If my next car is non-MB, should I see out my current lease (3 more months) or is it OK if the dealer takes care of it (just worried that they might roll this amount to the new lease).
Audi’s don’t lease well, so this is a fine but not great deal. If you like the E300 they can generally be had for the same or less than an A4, especially if you find a well priced loaner.
I have not had luck with those. I have called 3 different dealers in Chicago and 2 in Indiana and no one has come close to even 650 for A5 Sportbacks. Best I have bene quoted for a Premium barebones A5 sportback has been 775 a month 0 down.
Audi is hard, if you’re committed, see if they have any demo A4s that may offer a better lease. Also, what is the value of your final 3 payments on the C300? If they are eating that cost for you, you should factor it into the deal figures.
You could get a pretty sick e300 in the 600s. Screw the a4. It was actually my top choice until I saw how it leased. Nothing justifies how high the payments are.
I’m guessing even demos or loaners don’t lease well because I’ve never ever seen anyone here post that they even managed to get anything from Audi, except maybe an A3 for under $500/mo, while BMW 3 series I see $200 - $300 deals quite often.
