2018 Armada SL: about to sign

How did I do on this deal? Not amazing but I don’t think it’s bad. I plan on signing this week. Any input is appreciated.

2018 Armada SL
MSRP 57950
Sale Price 49000
Drive Off: 3000 incl first month
Monthly Payment: 540 incl 9 percent PA tax
39 month 12k per year

Pretty high drive off
Whats the breakdown of it?

Breakdown of 3000

First payment 540
Aq Fee 595
Doc fee 300
Tags 300
The rest is cap reduction

I thought it seemed pretty decent considering the other numbers I got in the last two months of negotiation. Any trusted hackers out there have an opinion on it?

Not sure where you are located in PA but I am seeing lower sale prices advertised online at my local Nissan Dealership - Priority Nissan in Tyson’s corner VA - for 2018 SL armadas.

Granted every Nissan dealership in NoVa seems to be run by scumbags. Priority is among the worst and doesn’t mention that their online price includes rebates that most aren’t eligible for while others bury this information in fine print but at least mention it. That said, I’ve always been able to at least get the advertised price as the final selling price.

So the remaining 1265 was negative equity?

No that was used as cap reduction to get me to my payment. Residual on Armadas is terrible…

You are right. NoVa Nissan dealers are the worst. I used to work for one (not Priority) in NoVa and we would include pricing that include rebates not everyone is eligible for, and actually that nobody is eligible for. They would include college grad and military which can’t be used together and 2 current owner coupons in which you could only use 1 (and few customers had). I am so glad I left for a dealership and brand that doesn’t play those games. I just want to sell cars and not lie to customers about a price that is impossible to get.

Should look at the QX80, I think they’re about the same.

Agreed on the QX…what do you think of this deal, obsessed?

Does the strategy work? My wife was ready to buy a Murano platinum in cash (before I really understood leasing) and ended up not because of how misleading the pricing was both on website and in person - they lied to us in person at the initial price discussion. Although I’m guessing we aren’t really the target demographic for Nissan.

Ended up with an MDX one pay lease mostly because of how straight forward and non sketchy the Acura dealership was in Falls Church

.0022 - essentially making it impossible to get a good deal.

It does to a point because every Nissan dealer does it around here. When I started it wasn’t that bad, the only thing we added back in was destination. Pricing used to include financing with Nissan, so we would bump you, if you paid cash, or used your own financing. You had a choice to finance with Nissan, get the rebate then refinance or pay it off. If you are a MDX buyer the Murano would be the only Nissan you would look at, Murano buyers would usually cross shop MDX/RDX and RX350.

Radley is a good dealership. My old GM used to work there, he left in 2016. He left Nissan because of the BS.

Considering the low residual on Armadas I’m thinking this is a decent deal…they had to finance outside of Nissan because of the horrendous rates.

so the lease isn’t through NMAC? Who is it with? Be forewarned, there are tons of horror stories with 3rd party leasing, especially when you ground it.
