Don’t know how to start va new topic but I have been shopping for a leftover 2017 Subaru Forester XT. I originally was focused on the premium and got offered…
36 Month/10K Lease
MSRP: $30,531
Invoice including destination: $29,134
Price from dealership: $28,400
Residual: 64%
Down Payment/ Out of Pocket: $2,000
$249 a month for 36 months.
I am NY State Taxes (.088ish)
They told me a touring with no options or Eyesight. MSRP of around $36k would put me at $339 a month with $2,200 down.
When I was debating between Forester and Outback, I got the touring price down to $340 all in back in July. I am in MD so tax is even more, meaning you should be able to get below that.
Yes I originally was focused on the Premium for that price but a few of the standard features of the Touring were missing and bothered me about the Premium. Most of the information I gave is about the Premium except for the last paragraph. That is for the touring but I didn’t sit down with the Sales Manager for that so I don’t have any info on the Residual or MF.
I can now make a New Topic, should I make one for the XT Premium so there is no confusion?
You are mistaken. Perhaps you are looking at the 2018 models. The 2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring has Eyesight standard and they bumped up the price. The 2017 XT Touring can be had for $35-36 MSRP without Eyesight.
The XT Premium is cheaper than the Touring. A 2017 XT Premium can be had for $30k MSRP.
Thank you, I will check the Edmunds forums but I need somebody advice from somebody familiar with both the 17 Premium and Touring XT’s.
EDIT: According to the Edmunds forums. The 2017 XT Premiums have .00055 MF and 64% residual. I am in Long Island ans thos MF and RV are,for Upstate NY but I’m sure it is close.
I’m not. It’s the way you explained - you were all over the place with XT, Premium, Touring. There are 2.5 Premium/Touring and XT Premium/Touring. You did not say that Touring you mentioned was XT, so I was talking about 2.5 Touring which is loaded for $36k
