2017 RX350 $51K MSRP 36/10 $411/mo excl tax (in Texas)

Hey all - this site was a huge help in negotiating what I think is a pretty solid lease for Texas (have to pay sales tax on full value). First time leasing!

MSRP: [$50.764]
Selling Price before incentive: [$44,520]… 12.3% off MSRP before incentives
Rebates: [$3000]… $2000 lease incentive + $1000 college grad
Trade-in: [$0]
Dealer fees: [$235]
Acquisition: [$795]
Gov’t fees: [$200]

Months: [36]
Annual Mileage: [10,000]

MF: [0.0001]
Residual: [56%]
MSD: [0]

Security Deposit: [$0]
Total Due At Signing: [$0]
Monthly Payment (excl. tax): [$411]
Monthly Payment (incl. tax): [$488]

Location: [Texas]
Sales Tax Rate: [6.25%]… have to pay tax on full value of lease

Added bonus: I told them I was flexible on color combo during negotiations. When we finalized numbers, I went in to pick out a car and that day they had their most in demand color combo just land. Manager resisted but finally agreed to let me choose that one as they normally can get just below MSRP for it

Had a fantastic experience at this dealer; however, they asked that I not share their name along with the deal since it was so aggressive.

What color combo was it? Take a picture.
Congrats on the car, enjoy it!

Did you not ask for “sales-tax credits” ? Or - if you chose to do PrePay lease - you could have escaped Sales-tax - since 6.25% ain’t cheap over 3-years!

Awesome, congrats! Interested in pictures as well

Thanks! Color combo was eminent white exterior with stratus gray interior and 20" rims

I’m getting it delivered tomorrow and will take pictures then (with a nice red bow on it too!).

No didn’t ask for a sales-tax credit (was aware that was there)… beat them up pretty good on price and the other areas, and once I had the perfect (for my wife) color combo, didn’t want to push my luck and lose it haha.

Not sure how the prepay lease would avoid sales tax in Texas… pretty sure it is assessed on the full MSRP regardless. Also, doesn’t prepay come with the risk if you wreck the car (out the full payment). Maybe not.

Sorry for the delay, I forgot to post the picture. Here she is!

I am interest in this deal, can you share dealer info?

Did you even read his post?

What’s the deal with Texas state tax and how does pre-paid lease help here?
